About Me

My name is Zhenkang Peng, but I go by Bartek, which is a Polish name given by my friends. I majored in Preschool English Teaching at CISISU (Chengdu Institute Sichuan International Studies University) for two years when I was in China and I studied English in Public Communication for another two years at Uniwersytet Opolski (University of Opole) in Poland to finish my Bachelor's degree.

When I was in China, I did my student practice in a local kindergarten for one semester teaching English.

After finishing my teaching practice, I got a certificate which shows that I did 30 hours' teaching practice. I am very satisfied with it. I enjoyed being with my younger students, who gave me positive feedback all the time in my classes. That's one of the reasons why I decided to continue pursuing my study in the realm of teaching.

I did my internship at an English training school in Poland as well. I taught Polish children Chinese and English. Hence, I have known a little about how it feels to teach them and the difference between Chinese and Polish students.

I am also TESOL certified. Although it is aimed at teaching English to children, I am considering going further, which means I will try to get CELTA sooner or later.

During my spare time, I work as a private English teacher/tutor mainly to teach teenagers online, but I teach adults, too. I am also a travel lover. I have been to the Republic of Czech, Austria, Hungary and other cities in Poland, such as Wrocław, Kraków, Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia and Poznań.

That's all about me for now. I'll keep it updated if there is something new during the course of my study. 📖

  1. Very nice to meet you Bartek! You clearly have a lot of prior experience, so I am looking forward to your reflections. I'm sure I can learn a lot from you. Hope you get to travel to Western Europe too during your time here - there's some amazing places to visit there as a travel enthusiast. And of course congratulations on your TESOL certification - very impressive.
